For those of you who don’t know about my yoga alter ego, I’ve been teaching vinyasa yoga for 15 years and studying Buddhism for nearly as long. During this weekend, we will dive deep into the practices of yoga and meditation for the support of our own physical, mental and emotional well-being. We will greet each day in meditation and yoga. Conscious breathing and guided self-reflection will be woven throughout the retreat. There will be time to read, rest, walk in nature, receive a healing massage or simply be.
Ratna Ling Retreat Center is deep in the redwood forest off the Pacific Coastal ridge, with sweeping views, swaying redwoods and delicious organic gourmet meals. Deluxe private retreat cottages with spacious decks, fireplaces and Jacuzzi baths will be your home for the weekend.
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Cindy completed her first teacher training with Bikram Choudhury in 1999. In 2001, she traveled to India, where she acquired a deeper knowledge of the history and healing power of yoga. Later, she completed a teacher training with Judith Lasater on Restorative Yoga and became a “Relax and Renew” trainer. In 2009, she completed both the teacher training program in Baptiste Power Vinyasa and the Spirit Rock course “Mindfulnes, Yoga and Meditation Training.”
“I have an intuitive, athletic teaching style that focuses on the integration of breath, strength development, proper alignment and improved flexibility while cultivating each student’s unique personal flow.” Amy has been a student of yoga for over 20 years and has studied various styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram and Anusara with yoga leaders such as Sara Powers, Baron Baptiste, John Friend, Maritza and David Swenson.
